As a historic player in the city centre of Marseille, their aim is always the same: to have the necessary tools for quality work with young people in our neighbourhoods and to offer them an alternative to the street with daily care and monitoring, and educational actions adapted to the citizens of tomorrow.
Contact Club has the following objectives:
-
Helping young people to become autonomous adults and responsible citizens
-
Develop citizenship, respect for others and for oneself, learning about the life and initiative of the community.
-
Make young people "actors" in their neighborhood, allowing them to express their opinions, develop projects, live life in society (rights and duties) and experience successful situations.
-
Crime prevention.
-
Re-mobilise the young people most exposed to crime by launching appropriate projects.
-
Go find the young people where they are. Reach out to young people in the neighbourhood's squares and streets and design action programmes with them.
-
Encourage academic success.
-
Help young people and their families invest in schooling and offer activities to support motivation, academic support and help with homework.
-
Supporting parents and families in their educational responsibility.
-
Support and enhance the parents in their role as educators, to re-establish a bond of mutual trust between the young person and his or her family.
-
Propose positive models of socialization
-
Welcome each young person who freely expresses his or her desire to participate in the projects of the Contact Club.
